W3PF stands for Worthing Pier, past, present and future. This is a culmination of a two-year young roots HLF funded project by Worthing Youth Council, capturing the past, recording the present and discovering the future of Worthing Pier and you will be able to find this book in the worthing library. In the book you can find many different events that have happened to our pier such as the pier during war times. But it also includes the future of our beloved pier and what it may become.
On the 14th July 2016, we celebrated the completion of W3PF, with 700 friends, families and local schools and residents. Throughout the day we had speeches from youth councillors. Both the mayor and deputy mayor. Worthing Museum and our local historian. We also had a screening of a short film made by worthing youth treasure and a photo montage of the pier’s history. In the evening guests were treated to a series of sea shanties performed by the secret shores choir. Overall I believe that this project brought our community together young and old.
